About Northern Sweden and Lapland
Northern Sweden and Swedish Lapland are unique. In summertime go fly-fishing for salmon and arctic char, or lace up your hiking boots and tackle the world-famous King's Trail (Kungsleden). The Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, is a natural light display that is frequent during the winter months in northern Sweden and Swedish Lapland.
Swedish Lapland is the land of eight seasons, the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun. It can be – 40 C in winter, and +30 C in summertime, contains Europe’s last remaining wilderness area and is home to Europe’s only indigenous people, the Sami.
Well known 'outdoor capitals' of Northern Sweden are the towns of Luleå and Kiruna but more great spots are out there to explore!
