From May to September, The Dora Baltea is the most beautiful and rich river in Europe. Thanks to the southern facing glaciers of Mont Blanc the summer melting provides an average flow of 60 cubic meters of water per second for the Dora Baltea. It is a perfect combination of Grade III and IV rapids in a splendid setting. This tour starts from our base where the river is fast but forgiving. The first three kilometers are used to practice maneuvers and coordinating the crew. Upon the arrival of La Salle we encourage you to take a dive into the lake, because the glacial water is definitely an experience you won't forget! From La Salle, we head to canyon of Arvier. Here we lower the rafts on a pulley system to the river to experience Grade IV rapids, and the most beautiful section of The Dora Baltea River. The trip through the gorge exhibits a breathtaking sight of waterfalls and canyons, castles and vineyards of the renowned wine Enfer. After approximately 14km of rafting, we finish near Aosta, where our transport bus/van will take us back to the Morgex Rafting base for a hot shower.
This is an adventure for everyone and does not require any previous rafting experience. The perfect season is from May to July. It is also suitable for families with children over 14 years.
