Our mountain lake tour on Brienzersee or Lake Brienz as it’s known in English, really makes the most of what our region has to offer. Always surrounded by the magical turquoise blue water we visit the pretty villages of Iseltwald, Brienz and Bönigen, the cliffs below Ringgenberg and Iseltwald and the famous Giessbach Falls, with its series of waterfalls tumbling down from above. All this with the dramatic mountain backdrop and calm waters, Lake Brienz really has it all.
Our overnight trip is designed to offer the ultimate Lake Brienz experience. Combined with an overnight camp in Brienz, the trip enables you to get close to nature and experience all that the area has to offer. During the trip we visit cliffs, secluded beaches, traditional villages and of course the famous Giessbach falls. Combined with the spectacular mountainous backdrop and turquoise water, this trip will take your breath away no matter what the weather.
Starting at our base in Bönigen, we take a short transfer by road to Iseltwald where we begin our paddle. Setting off past the Snaggeninsel (Snail Island) and on towards Giessbach falls, we have the chance to explore the stunning waterfalls before heading back towards Iseltwald where we set up camp for the night and enjoy a BBQ. After spending a night camping under the stars we set off paddling and pass the steep Iseltwald cliffs before crossing the 260m deep lake to the cliffs of Ringgenberg, before finally ending our trip back at our base in Bönigen.
