“ Amazing views and fun kayaking ”
Our guide Marco was fantastic, telling us stories about the different areas we saw and making sure we understood what we were doing at each point of the trip. The water was relatively calm and the paddling wasn't overly difficult. We were provided a dry bag and barrel for towels/phones/ect and they had a snack for us along the way. We got to snorkel in a cave, swim around, paddle around Lokrum island. Make sure you use sunscreen!

“ Great trip ”
We booked this trip because we wanted to do something different on our trip! We definitely got that!
The tour is great, you are greeted by friendly host on the shore, who give you a quick run-down of how to paddle etc (so even suitable for beginners)
After they provide the paddles, life jackets and drybags and containers so you can bring your belongings in the kayak with you.
Throughout our tour, our guide was with us - groups were small, there were 4 couples in our tour. You could chose a 1 or 2 person kayak.
The guide stopped us for regular breaks and history lessons of the city and provided us with picturesque locations for taking photographs! There's also a cave you go to and stop for 30 mins for cliff jumping and snorkling which was great fun!
We thought that the half day tour was plenty, you are out in the sun for the whole time and the paddling can get exhausting. We came back to shore at the perfect balance between having a great time but not being too exhausted! Really worth the money it cost!!

“ Very rewarding day! ”
Martin, our guide, was great! Very tolerant of our slow speed compared to the rest of the group, making sure to check up on us every so often. The water was very choppy on the way back making it pretty hard work, but this made the finish very rewarding.
Don’t worry about being overly fit or young, we made it!!!

Overall a really great trip. The guides balanced the work in a windy day to keep us moving in spurts. Stops were well timed and fun. Daughter got to do a nice 10M cliff jump too! Well done guys.

“ Great afternoon at sea ”
Having never been kayaking before I didn’t really know what to expect, I thought it would be a nice way to see the amazing views Dubrovnik has so my partner and I booked through our travel agent TUI. First off I will say if you think it will be an easy ride then you might want to prepare yourself for a bit more of a work out! Phillip was our guide and he was brilliant, very knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik but kept the information short and to the point so we could have more time visiting the caves and seeing the island Lokrum. The Kayaking itself definitely makes for more of a challenge if you are a total novice like myself. We made it through the to end of the tour, getting through 7km in choppy conditions gives you a real sense of achievement :). Thank you again to Phillip and Robbie who was on call to help anyone out who May be struggling with the kayaking. Would definitely recommend!

“ Kayak with X-Adventure over everyone else ”
My wife and I bagged a last minute 9:30am departure for a half-day kayak tour.
We were able to WhatsApp someone past 6pm the day before about availability and booked and paid online, simply and securely.
We had all the instructions emailed though. This company is not like others, it has its own private launch site (with two bars and a beach - great for the return) .
We had Martyn as out guide who was friendly, great with his stories and history and took us up the coast and around Lokrum island.
You get to stop a few times for swimming or cliff / rock jumping.
Lunch is a simple sandwich, make sure you give any diet requirements before your trip.
They have snorkel gear that Martyn took which was a nice surprise.
Safety was paramount and the gear was all in good condition.
Supporting team members were equally pleasant and friendly.
If you go - don't forget to tip or buy your guide a beer!

“ Fantastic morning on the water ”
We had Dino as a guide he was informative with great sense of humour! Paddling is not too strenuous and the views of old town are fantastic from that perspective. Great value and a great way to explore Dubrovnik and Lokrum.

“ Half day kayaking ”
It was ok unfortunately for us the water was a bit choppy which made it quite hard work. The pace was quite fast, I think that was due to them having to get back for the next group. Probably not ideal if you haven’t got a decent base of fitness.
The instructor was great, good sense of humour and stopped to talk about sites of interest.
Worth doing but make sure you take shoes, the stop at the cave is agony on the feet as it’s all stones...

We had a lot of fun on our kayaking trip this morning. Our guide, Philip, was really friendly and regularly checking on us during the trip. We kayaked for over 7km so make sure you eat and drink before to have enough energy!! It’s a great way to see Dubrovnik and the nearby islands. We would recommend it as part of your visit to this fantastic place.

“ Refreshing trip for hot days and great customer service! ”
Went for the half day kayaking tour at 1:30pm with my sister. Although it was 32 Celsius that day, the water was super refreshing so it didn't feel that way at all. We also got the opportunity to cliff jump as well during the kayaking trip! Our guide Martin was so helpful and took some great photos for us. Bring a waterproof camera or a waterproof case for your phone if you want to take photos. They provide a dry bag for all your other belongings. Staff answered all my questions in email super quickly! Showed up with little sleep after a late flight and having had no food. The staff were so accommodating to us and very nice! Water shoes a definite plus but not necessary. Waterproof sunscreen also a must as we got very tanned. Was so physically exhausted after, but a great way to see and be introduced to Dubrovnik! Highly recommend this, would definitely do again!

“ Uniqe Adventure ”
Me and a group of 5 girls went on the tour today. We where greated nicely by the entire team, and they took good care of us. We where supplied with water and food and everything was well organized. The guide was very interesting and gave us some insights into Dubrovnik history. The kayaking was hard at the beginning but with all the breaks and storytelling it was totally manageable. Especially thanks to our tour guides Dino and Marco for taking such good care us and making this into an amazing adventure. Would recommend, and we are probably going back for one of the other tours

“ Guide not needed if you have paddling experience ”
It is definitely worth kayaking around the island from Dubrovnik but the guides provided very little information throughout our tour and didn't even provide any guidance to beginner paddlers. They even forgot to tell us their names! It is an easy paddle and we felt we would have been better off going at our own pace and stopping whenever and wherever we wanted. The beach spot was very crowded with lots of groups and not worth snorkeling at.

“ Great way to spend the day! ”
We booked our adventure through our hotel rep and travelled to Dubrovnik in the morning, after a morning of exploring the old town we went to Pile for our kayaking.
We set out across the sea heading towards Lokrum island with Martin as our guide. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik and made the day one to remember! There were lots of stops with Martin providing interesting local insight.
There's also the chance to do some snorkling in the clear waters of the Ariatic.
All of the equipment was provided including dry bags and a water tight platic tub for cameras/phones. A sandwich and bottle of water was also provided.
A unique way to spend a few hours in Dubrovnik, I would definitely reccommend it!

“ Morning Tour ”
The tour with Dan the Man was the perfect start to our time in Dubrovnik. You get a great feel for what it has to offer as well as some of the local history.
It’s a tiring tour but you go as fast/slow as you want (within reason). The breaks are great and welcome, including in the cove to snorkel and have lunch, as well as a stop in an incredible cave. Would definitely recommend the tour, especially the morning one where we were only a group of 6 kayaks.

“ Great Experience ”
Brilliant way to spend the morning. Me and my girlfriend booked onto the tour this morning with a group of around 10 others. Our guide Martin was really friendly and helpful, providing an interesting insight into the history of Dubrovnik along the way.
There were plenty of opportunities to rest and take photos before a break in the cove where sandwiches were provided and we had the opportunity to swim and snorkel (equipment was provided), before heading back the city.
All equipment was provided and in good condition, including waterproof sacks and barrels for storing belongings.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, it's a great way to see and learn about the city and there are some stunning views to be seen. The team are also very friendly and knowledgeable.

“ Sea Kayaking Dubrovinik ”
We went for the morning slot (9.30 am) sea kayaking half day tour with our guides Martin and Philip. The start point is easy to find just 5 mins walk from where the bus drops you off outside Pile gate. Once we arrived we were given a life jacket, waterproof sack for belongings and a waterproof container for phones, cameras etc. we were then given a brief overview of how to kayak and the does and don'ts.
As you set off you sit into the kayak from a stoney cove so be sure to bring sea shoes for the rocks or it will be uncomfortable. Once we set off it was great, the guides were really knowledgeable and helpful however the tour did feel rushed and more time to stop and take pictures would have been better. When we did stop to take a few pictures you then have to play catchup to get back to the rest of the group. Overall it was a nice day on the sea. We got to explore 2 caves, see some of lokrum island and get some background info on the city as well as getting a view of the old town from a different angle.
Top tip would be to bring water, change of clothes, sea shoes and a towel and you will enjoy it.

Enjoyed a great morning Kayaking. Philip the guide was really friendly and supportive. We were in a group of around 5 couples. One couple dropped out early on so we had to wait for a speed boat to pick them up. Philip was very apologetic. You need to be reasonably fit as it’s a 7km row although you can go at a comfortable pace. You get to stop off in one of the caves for a break, snack and swim. Make sure you take shoes as the area is full of pebbles: it is a very enjoyable day. We loved it

“ Great time I would recommend it. ”
Great afternoon...the guys at X-Adventure were all nice chaps. Do be advised you will paddle 9km so you need a reasonable level of fitness (or at least one of you does...lol), I am 55 wife is 45. DO take a towel and a change of shorts (there is a locker room to leave stuff) you will want them when you get back, damp salty shorts are a....*female dog....to walk in. Stick your phone in a zip bag (you get them free at the airport for your liquids) I had Kayaked before but my wife hadn't but she was fine, a nice pace and plenty of rests if needed. The picnic lunch is sandwiches which were fresh and good. Veggie offering is fruit. If you burn in the sun wear a light long sleeve t-shirt, as water proof suntan lotion won't last and makes your grip on the paddle slippy. Wear a hat for same reasons...there's always a cool breeze on the water so you could burn and not realize it. Also your hat needs to be tight fit or you will lose it...*I had to remove the real word for a female dog as Tripadvisor said it was a profanity and I couldn't post this review until I had altered it..lol...guess the censors are a bunch of politically correct, holes in bottoms...oh I wonder if 'bottom' will get past?...lets try bum as a test...

“ Great kayaking tour balanced with some breaks and cultural information brought in a fun way! ”
Very professional team of experienced kayakkers focused on customer experience. They give you everything you need (dry bags, water, some food) and communicate clearly and effectively. Ive been a kayaking instructor myself and it is quite hard to explain the basics to beginners but the X-team did one of the best jobs at explaining I've seen! Once in the water, the tour guide Dan the man, did a great job at keeping the group together. With a lot of funny jokes he stopped every once in a while to share information on the city of Dubrovnik.
Halfway through we were at a popular small beach where we were given snorkeling gear to swim around in amazing water with lots of beautiful fish. After kayaking for a while again, one person got seasick and Dan immediately brought her to safety whilst giving us clear instructions on where to go and wait. He showed flexibility and calmness throughout the trip. All the views were breathtaking. Highly recommended!

This kayaking trip was the best part of our trip to Dubrovnik. Our guide, Vedran, was great and very knowledgeable about Dubrovnik, its history, and just Croatia in general. The group was small and fun to be with. Not to mention that the sights were beautiful and we got to snorkel and cliff jump! This trip is well worth the money and great for anyone who enjoys active sightseeing. We only wish the trip was a few hours longer. We could have kayaked on the beautiful Adriatic all day.

“ X-ADVENTURE SEA KAYAKING HALF DAY TOUR DUBROVNIK ”
We only had one day at Dubrovnik, and wanted to do something else than walk around the city. This was totally worth of spending a half day! The guide (with the difficult name, with a hat :P) did a good job with a tour. It was nice to paddle around the Lokrum, the length was perfect. And it was nice to hear stories about the city and the history. To be honest, we first thought it would be boring to hear some tourist talk, but it was opposite, really interesting and not boring at all! The people of X Adventure were all really friendly and professional, we really enjoyed and felt safe on sea. 6/5!

We booked to go kayaking with x adventures a couple of days ago, unfortunately the day that we booked it for the sea was very choppy. However they quickly let us know and changed it for the following day! When we arrived there was a team member waiting for us and he showed us to the kayaks- here we met Dan and Robert.
They were both very helpful and lovely! It was Roberts first day and he did a great job!
We went all the way around the city walls and Lokrum island and we stopped in a few caves. Dan provided us with lots of interesting information about Dubrovnik and the surrounding areas.
We were also provided with sandwiches at our first stop in a cave.
Thank you especially to Dan and Robert who made the tour memorable!!

“ Brilliant Fun! ”
Done the half day trip whilst in Dubrovnik. All the staff we spoke to were brilliant, and it was so easy to book once we had found the secluded cove the team were based in. The kayaking itself was brilliant! You go across the harbour over to a cave for a swim and a snack, before then heading out and circling Lokrum prior to returning. There was multiple stops along the way to learn about the history and culture of Dubrovnik, which was informative and a good way to rest the arms. Dan and Milo who took us out were cool guys, easy to talk to and kept the spirits high even when the people started flagging. All in all a brilliant trip and a cool way to see the Old City walls and various other parts of the coastline in Dubrovnik, would highly recommend.

For those that had never been kayaking before or had little experience like us, Darko went through all the basics and no one fell behind. we had plenty of stops along the 8.5km journey and were told different stories about the history of Dubrovnik. I would recommend bringing flip flops or wet shoes for the cave stop, the stones are very uncomfortable for those with soft feet. Flip flops or swim flat shoes are a must and I would bring a towel for after the tour.
We would most certainly recommend these guys to out loved ones and we will definitely return next time we're in Dubrovnik.

“ A great view of Dubrovnik from the sea ”
This was a great tour by the x-adventure team! Sunning views of Lokrum Island and Old Town. The tour was appropriately paced with breaks and great entertainment provided by Matteo, Edi and Milo.
Highly recommended! A great way to start the day :)

“ Great Way to See Dubrovnik from A Unique Perspective ”
A guide on another tour told my sister and I that one thing many people miss out on is seeing Dubrovnik from the sea. The view of the city from the water was amazing, and it was fun to take part in Croatia's affinity for water sports. Our guide was awesome and took us to a cave on the side of Lokrum where we were able to jump off the cliff (worth it even if you're afraid of heights). If you have sensitive feet I recommend water shoes as the beach is rocky and can be hard to walk on. Also, make sure to eat something before you go as it is a long trip (8km of paddling with breaks) and the sandwich they give you is nothing special.

“ Very safe, eloquent to a leader, not a difficult kayak ”
Certainly well organised, the team are there to look after you and you certainly feel safe the whole time, the leader in our case Tonker was a very eloquent young lady and she set a good easy pace for the whole group. On the particular occasion, we didn’t get to go right round the island as the wind was blowing quite heavily, however they put us on a beach very nicely and we did a bit of snorkelling, if you used to Australia, with fine sandy beaches and great snorkelling then this will disappoint, however there were rocks to walk on and limited fish life, a few of the lads jumped off the rocks, impressive!!!!

The guides (Mario and Nikola) are nice and took good care of the group. They evaluated and explained things in detail to us. Fun times at the beach beside the cave. Definitely recommend for a trip here.

I can highly recommend the sunset kayaking trip with Nikola. We were a group of friends celebrating a big birthday and had an exclusive group of 8 for the tour with Nikola. He was fun, engaging and told great stories! A must-do excursion whilst in Dubrovnik.

“ Cool hosts! ”
We did the morning start half day tour. Nikola and Mario were our guides and they were pretty on point with everything. Kayak itself was a but more exhausting than expected but there was also a head wind for the 1st part so that was to be expected. Coming back was a breeze with the wind and current behind us. Well arranged day, we felt safe at all times, and the guides were fun to spend time with. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Dubrovnik!

The most amazing day ever! We couldn’t possibly have expected anything as fantastic. The sights we saw and stories we were told were just amazing! Our guide, Edi, was absolutely hilarious, and so knowledgeable. We would say this is the best way to explore Dubrovnik!

“ Amazing Kayaking Tour with the Best Guides ”
We absolutely loved the tour. Our guides were Nicola and Mario (and a trainee). All the guides were extremely knowledgeable about Dubrovnik and Lokrum, very friendly, and helpful in terms of explaining how to kayak. We loved getting to visit some of the caves and learning about the history of the various places around us on the water. The group provides waterproof bags, waterproof buckets, and lunch! It was so accommodating having everything given to us. The meeting place is super easy to reach. Don't hesitate to take this tour group!

“ Worth doing! So much fun.. ”
Mario was our guide and he was great! He gave us full instructions, took us into some really cool caves, and gave us a lot of interesting information about Dubrovnik on the way. It was a really relaxing few hours of kayaking, exploring Lokrum and swimming the the 'dead sea' and ocean snorkelling. We enjoyed the free time we had on Lokrum Island, and the view of Dubrovnik from the sea is amazing. We would definitely recommend this tour! Thank You again Mario..

“ Little gem ”
On a lads holiday. Thought we would try something a little different (not just sampling the local beers). We all really enjoyed the 8km kayak around the island. Was a great surprise when stopped at beach for lunch and the guide got our snorkels. There are so many fish in the waters and they loved our baguette. Would recommend even more than the wall if you are even slightly outdoorsy.

“ Rainy but great service ”
Had an excellent time kayaking around the Dubrovnik walls today. Our guides Matija and Eddy did an excellent job of keeping everybody safe and told us a lot of great stories regarding Dubrovnik. It ended up raining midway through the experience but that didn't deter how beautiful the rain was from inside the cave where we were having lunch and swimming.

“ Fantastic way to see sunset over Dubrovnik ”
We spent a fabulous 2.5 hours early evening kayaking with Marko and Andrew - starting near Fort Lawrence, we paddled round the small island off the shore of Dubrovnik (Lokrum) - stopping off at a couple of caves - one for a longer break with snorkelling and sandwiches plus cliff diving for the brave!
Great way to spend a couple of hours doing some exercise and getting to watch the old city framed by a beautiful sunset - to finish we had a glass of local wine - all in all a lovely evening adventure

The 9:30 tour was the perfect way to start the day. We kayaked around the island of Lokrum, stopping for short breaks during which the guide would talk about the history of Dubrovnik. It was a bit tiring at some points but definitely worth it. Our guide also let us stop to do some cliff jumping!

“ Lovely tour and relaxed company ”
We thoroughly enjoyed our kayak tour around Lokrum. The guides, Mateo and Angelo where really relaxed and friendly, and they interacted with everyone and made sure to keep a steady pace. The breaks made the journey achievable, although it is a bit of an arm/shoulder work out - but this just made it all the more rewarding. It was also great to here stories of the city and get a locals perspective on the good places to check out whilst in Dubrovnik. The departure point is also a fab place to relax and swim without being overlooked by tons of tourists at Pile Square. Highly recommended!

“ Hard work but fantastic!! ”
Great day with Eddie and XAdventure doing the half day sea kayak afternoon tour today. Super chilled guide, full of great history stories & advice. Paddling with a partner is tough going to get your synchronicity going, but the scenery made all the tough paddling worth while. Two or three stops for stories, a swim in a cave & viewing of some of the Game of Thrones locations. Just brilliant.
Great to have use of a dry bag & a dry barrel for phone etc.
I'd recommend lots of Sun cream. Great day - thanks guys

“ Best Experience in Dubrovnik ”
I did the 3 hour kayak tour and I can not recommend this company highly enough!
It is the best way to see Dubrovnik from a different perspective because the tour starts under the city walls, then around Lokrum Island and stop in an incredible cave to rest for a while, eat something, snorkling, swimming or jumping from a cliff.
Dan is the best tour guide I have ever met! Very funny, professional and explains in a simple and clear way the history of the city and the country. He even sang a Croatian song to make me happy :)
It was a highlight in my vacation in Dubrovnik, definitely!
At the end of the tour, I met other members of the company who shared a drink with me. I felt like I was among friends.
Traveling is my passion, mainly because of the experiences I have and the people I met during the jouney. In this company I found the perfect match!
Thank you very much!!!

“ Best kind of morning workout! ”
Found out about this kayaking activity from the hostel I was staying at. You’re provided water proof bags, a smaller container for electronics, water, and snacks! We started at 9:30 am with our guide Edi. What a wonderful and funny guy! He kept us entertained with stories, jokes, and most importantly safe the entire time! We were fortunate to be in a small group of 9 people so it was easy to follow and hear Edi. We kayaked around Lokrum island, stopped by a cave, then headed to a little beach where we were provided a sandwich! Then it was back to the shore where we first departed. Got back around noon or so.
All the people from X-Adventure are extremely nice and helpful so I highly recommend checking them out and have a memorable time out on the water! Seeing Dubrovnik from another perspective was amazing and something you need to do (if able).
Thank you Edi and everyone at X-Adventure for a great time!

“ Excellent trip and good value for money ”
Did the three hour morning trip. Our guide Edi was very friendly and full of local history. We were a reasonably experienced group so nobody required any instruction. Paddled out around city walls out and around Lokrum with a stop on far side for some cliff jumping. We then came back inshore and stopped off in large cave (I forget the name) grabbed a bite to eat (guides gave us cheese and ham rolls and some water) then did some snorkeling (guides brought along a batch of masks and snorkels for everyone). We then paddled back up the coast to our start point. Excellent all round. Highly recommended

I went kayaking with my best friend, our first time on the sea. Nikola was our guide for the day and lead us around Lorkum and the Dubrovnik city walls. This is a very interesting way to explore the coastline around Dubrovnik. Nicolai was our guide and he was clearly very focused on ensuring that we had a good time - and we did!
This is quite a physical activity - you are paddling a kayak for over two hours - but Nicolai made sure at all times that we were able to keep up and we never felt pressured at all. My wife and I are in our mid 50s, so not so young anymore!

What a wonderful way to see the old walls and lokrum Island. A group of 22 of us headed off from a tiny cove in 2man canoes lead and followed by very informative and experienced instructors. We kayaked for 45 mins before heading to a cove where you could, if you were brave, cliff jump.. and then we bobbed in the water for an informative recount of the history of Dubrovnik.
After this we headed to a bay for a sandwich and snorkelling.. then back to base.
Wonderful sites, great guides and a perfect way to see Dubrovnik!

“ Great paddling around in the open sea ”
Darko and Danny were our hosts for this amazing sea kayaking/snorkeling tour near the walled fortress of ancient Dubrovnik. We were going on a cruise and had called another company that was booked up so they recommended Darko's group. (I like to set up my own excursions rather than use the ones on cruise ships).
My wife and 11-year-old daughter and I climbed into a kayak and set off, after Darko gave us a map and snorkels and big, plastic screwtop dry well jar to store our cameras/phones in. (I had called Darko ahead of time and set everything up).
The tour costed only € 80 for all three of us together and was so nice. We enjoyed the crystal clear waters, snorkeled in a cave, and felt like ancient mariners as we battled the seas on our own. How liberating this was!
We had the option to take a city bus for just a few euros back and forth to the cruise terminal, but before going back to the ship we ate a nice quick meal of pizza and beer at a spot near the bus stop. Thanks to Darko and his assistants. This was a fun time.

“ Will Do It Again! ”
We booked the sunset kayak way before we arrive in Dubrovnik. We had few email back and forth due to schedule change and they replied promptly.
The entire experience was very challenging but once you've done it the reward will last forever! After the first 20 minutes non-stop rowing, our tour guide stopped and gave us option to take the comfy route, or continue on the regular route, that is to circle around Lekum Is. This is my first time ever kayaking not to mention it is at sea. However, because the calm water it is actually quite easy. With the confident that we have two guides, one in the front and one at the end, all I need was concentrating on our own kayak.
We eventually stopped at a Cave where there were already lots people from other companies. They seemed like having an agreement how long each team would stay so the beach won't get too crowded. We stopped for cliff jumping, snorkeling, and to our surprise, the break also came with a sandwich and a bottle of water!
Once we headed back out, it was this amazing sunset awaited for us. It was quite breathtaking by seeing a sunset and the old city wall together. At the moment, I was really glad that I completed the whole regular route. If I have a chance, I'll do it again.
Oh, forgot to mention that toward the end of the kayak, they offered a bucket of wine bottles for everyone to enjoy.

“ Sunset Kayak ”
Amazing fun and great way to see the city and lokrum from another angle. The guides were helpful, patient and informative. It did get slightly tiring as i'm not used to kayaking but it wasn't difficult to do. The guides told us some facts and stories about the area and had prepared sandwiches and fruit as a snack in the cave. Kayaking along the coast at sunset was gorgeous and memorable and very worthwhile. On return they gave us small bottles of decent enough local wine. They give you a dry bag for clothes etc. and a separate easy access tub for phones so you can safely take pictures. You will get wet even if you don't choose to swim - mainly as the seats and footballs tend to collect water so I would recommend bringing a towel or swimwear. There were toilets nearby the starting point but not directly next to it so bear in mind if changing. If you go swimming i recommend keeping on shoes/ sandals/ wet shoes as there are sea urchins about. Highly recommend.

“ Challenging & amazing ”
My husband and I were a little dubious if we could manage 3hrs kayaking and 7k at sea but we were reassured we could were aged 49 & 52. We can do 7k walking no problem & it was on my to do list so we gave it a shot as very novice kayakers! We had Antonio and Roberto as the 2 guys who looked after us who were friendly and informative and at ease at the sea. We were never asked can you swim but hey ho you have a life jacket & why would you go out on the sea if you can't swim!
We were given instructions and a bottle of water each and a barrel which is waterproof for your valuables and a sack for clothes.
I have a little motion sickness as it happens but thought be ok at sea which for the majority of it I was until we stopped n huddled kayaks together for info on tour. But after a little vommiting was fine to continue. The views are amazing and Antonio skilfully navigated us threw the waters. We stopped at some caves were unfortunately a lady older than me had too be taken back to shore by the rescue boat as was unwell but not serious. I thought she did amazing at her age in a kayak.
We continued the journey around Lockrum island you don't get off as would have to pay a fee and we went past the nudist part were people were enjoying the sun on the whole of their bodies.
We made it to the next cave for lunch included in price which was a small cheese & ham sandwich nice and fresh and tasty but lacking in substinence after expending all that energy I could have eaten twice as much and would have loved an apple or bannana but this was the lunch for those not eating the sandwich. So handy hint take something extra I'm not greedy my bmi is 23 but needed more energy as was knackered at this point and wondering on this half hour break would I make it back!
The last part of journey was approx 25mins so spurned on and enjoyed the view and history talk from Antonio about the war and how the city was under attack. A lot of the younger ones were knackered too I asked around and felt better it wasn't just my age lol. But it was an achievement for sure and felt good accomplishing it. The fitness level required on the leaflet states as low but that for me was inaccurate so just know your limitations and enjoy beautiful Dubrovnik by sea and if no energy ho by boat.

“ Great views ”
There are several companies all in the same part of town and so its confusing to know who you have booked with and the staff are not that helpful, if not booked on the internet they do not take cards on site only cash. It is about 8km kayaking around Lokrum and takes about 3 hours. We enjoyed it but a bit disappointed with the company, we didn't really get any information on the island or any local knowledge. The stop off points are very disappointing the first a cave where you stay in the boats and one instructor just wants to take people up onto the cliff about 10m high and jump into the sea, the second a beach stop - not really a beach but another cave with a stone shore where all the tours from all the different companies stop, its busy and not very pleasant and you only stay 30mins and they give you snorkels, by the time you get in the water with everyone else its time to move on, after this you paddle back to the start. Make sure you pick your company as we met a fellow traveller later that day who'd done the kayaking with one of the other companies and got lots of info and history of Dubrovnik and Lokrum

I've done kayaking before, but only on the rivers. It is a completely different sensation to be kayaking at sea! You get a really good view of Dubrovnik from the water.
It is really easy, so you don't have to be extra fit to participate. Guides are really helpful, and those without any experience get some training.
Only thing to add - 3 hours is not enough. Take longer tours, guys, it's totally worth it!

We kayaked out towards Lokrum and to a very cool beach in a cave where we had lunch.
