2.5hr Winter Whale and Wildlife Eco Boat Tour

Book now

Explore the exceptional southern end of Port Phillip Bay and out into Bass Strait on our extended 2.5hr whale watching and wildlife eco boat cruise for just twelve guests.

On our open rigid inflatable boat Apollo, we’ll search along the spectacular Mornington Peninsula coastline for the opportunity to see migrating whales as they journey into our beautiful region.

During the winter months each year we’ve been treated to increasing sightings of Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales and Orca. It’s a very special experience because historically whaling and sealing was one of the first industries in the region. Now protected, we have the opportunity to search for these grand marine animals as they safely visit our local waters.

On tour you’ll view the colourful sandy cliffs and pristine beaches of the Mornington Peninsula as well as Australian Fur Seals at their purpose built haul-out platform. The coastline is part of the Point Nepean National Park and Port Phillip Bay. The journey will take us deep into Point Nepean bay and the area known as The Rip (Port Phillip Heads), the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. The bay is home to a variety of wildlife including seals, dolphins and abundant seabirds well known to exceed 70 different species.

Winter is cold but this is your chance to experience something entirely unique.

The 2.5-hour Winter Whale Watching and Wildlife Eco Boat Tour certainly gives you a personalised all-round view into the beauty and richness of the Mornington Peninsula aboard our open air RIB boat.
